Travel information

Below you can find some suggestions as to how to get to Kvinesdal for this year’s festival. If you order well ahead at www.nsb.no you can get train tickets in Norway as low as 199,- NOK.

Getting to Norway
There are several ways of getting to Norway, depending on which country you travel from. We recommend flying, and if possible, landing at either Kjevik Airport (Kristiansand) or Sola Airport (Stavanger). Gardermoen Airport (Oslo) is also a possibility. It is also possible to take the ferry from Hirtshals (Denmark) to Kristiansand or from Copenhagen to Oslo. Trains run from northern stations in Sweden.

Getting to the festival area
The easies way to get to the festival area is by train from any of the major cities. If you land in Oslo, Stavanger or Kristiansand, get to the nearest trainstation and head for a place called “Storekvina”. The time to get to Storekvina will take 1 hour from Kristiansand, 1 hour 10 minutes from Stavanger and 6 hours from Oslo.

Then you can take the bus (10 min) from Storekvina to Liknes and another bus (5 min) from Liknes to the festival area. It is also possible to use the Train-taxi, which will take you from Storekvina directly to the festival area. Call 0047 383 51 085

Getting there by car
If you choose to drive, simply follow E39 until you see a sign with Kvinesdal inside a tunnel and take the exit. Make a left in the roundabout (into the valley). In about 10 minutes you will be at the festival area. The trip takes about 6,5 hours from Oslo, 1,5 hours from Kristiansand and 1 hour 45 minutes from Stavanger.
