Norway Rock Festival is arranged by the foundation Norway Rock Kvinesdal.

The foundation was founded November 11th 2008 and consists mainly of the same people who started Kvinesdal Rock Festival and changed the name to Norway Rock Festival. We chose to be a foundation to show everyone that we are doing this for fun, and not in order to make money off it. Any surplus will stay in the foundation.

The festival is mainly arranged by volunteers who think it’s cool to have world stars play in a field in Kvinedsdal. We are always on the lookout for more people who share our interest and who are willing to help make the festival even better.

Contrary to many other festivals we have chosen a rather narrow scope when it comes to type of music. In order to offer something to the youngsters we have no age limit on Wednesday and Thursday, where we choose mainly bands for young rockers.

This way we hope that you as a part of the audience experience as many favourite bands as possible in addition to new bands up the same alley. The arena itself has a long history as a place for parties – big and small.

Parking, camping and the festival area is on one level and is neatly located next to the river Kvina. Fishing and swimming are both eligible possibilities. If you want to fish you need a valid fishing license. This can be purchased in the town center.

WC and portable bathrooms with showers will be available this year as well. We are trying hard to make sure that this part of the festival is going to be as hygienic and comfortable as possible for our visitors. Separate toilets for disabled people will also be easily accessible on the area.

The food selection will also be expanded in 2010, so you will get more to choose between and there will be something for everyone.
