Blind Guardian endelig klare med eksklusiv konsert på Norway Rock
Blind Guardian er et tysk power metal band som gav ut sin første plate i 1988. Med middelalder inspirert musikk, tekster og kjappe rytmer, har bandet også klart å lage allsangbaserte refrenger. Et fremragende live-band som man tydelig ser på deres live DVD ”Imaginations through the looking Glass”.
“At The Edge Of Time,” den siste plata fra de musikalsk inspirerte og kreative medlemmene; Hansi Kürsch (vokal), André Olbrich (gitar), Marcus Siepen (gitar) og Frederik Ehmke (trommer og symboler), levner absolutt ingen tvil om at BLIND GUARDIAN fremdeles hersker som ledende protagonist på sitt felt.
På slutten av 80 tallet og tidlig 90 tallet, erobret tyske BLIND GUARDIAN hjerter verden over i metal miljøene med utgivelsen av “Battalions Of Fear”(1988), “Follow The Blind” (1989), “Tales From the Twilight World”(1990), and “Somwhere Far Beyond(1992).
Ikke bare klarte utgivelsene “Imaginations From The Other Side” (1995), “The Forgotten Tales” (1996) og “Nightfall In Middle-Earth” (1998) å motta hyllest fra fans og kritikere til tross for en tøff musikk bransje, det ledet også frem til et av Høydepunktene i karrieren så langt, det nå legendariske Guardian Open Air – en to dagers festival i Coburg.
Det tok 4 år å lage albumet “At The Edge Of Time” som er det siste mesterverket fra Blind Guardian. “Ved hver lansering ønsker vi å definere oss selv på et nytt nivå, sier hovedmannen hansi Kürsch. Når Hellyeah valgte å trekke seg fra siste del av turnéen sin, var disse en enkel erstatter til torsdagen. Forbered deg på et energisk live set med trøkk og allsang fra denne gjengen ”Nightfall in Kvinesdal .. ”

Konge med Blind Guardian, eneste jeg lurer på er hvorfor de ikke er headliner på torsdagen, de er jo det største bandet internasjonalt som kommer på denne festivalen…*sukker* jaja, ses skal de hvertfall selv om jeg ville likt å ha de som headlner istedenfor et så som så band som In Flames.
Disse gutta har jeg gledet meg til siden tidlig 90tallet, å da var jeg bare en liten kid, Konge !
Burde vært senere.. rekker knapt komme opp, hive opp teltet og bli brisen. Men det får holde. Blind Guardian må man få med seg! Selv om det, som nevnt, er tidlig å spille for en headliner.
